Changes to online booking

To mitigate any risk that potentially infected patients
book appointments online and attend the practice when they should be receiving
advice to self-isolate or go through testing, all practices are now being advised to
change face-to-face appointments booked online to triage appointments via
telephone. You can read more on our website:

All clinics are by appointment only. All appointments at the moment are telephone triage only with a GP, due to Covid-19. Appointments for a telephone slot can be made by telephoning the surgery between 08:00 - 18:00, or online via the link at the top of this page. Or alternatively you can use the NHS App

Follow the instructions on your smart phone to download the App.

If a doctor of your choice is not available you will offered the earliest possible alternative.

If you cannot be offered an appointment at our surgery please ask about the new Extended Access Scheme which is held at Dewsbury Health Centre  on evenings and weekends. The opening times are:

Mon-Fri 18.30-21.30

Sat 09.00-15.30

Sun 09.00-13.00

You can now ring the Extended access Service to cancel or book an appointment when our surgery is closed ( after the hours of 18.00) on 01924 925517

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

If you do not attend your appointment and do not cancel it, it will be noted on your patient file. Three DNA's in 12 months will result in you being asked to register with another GP in the area. May we remind patients how important it is to use our appointment system with respect, this enables all patients who are in need, to be seen.

If you do not attend your Initial new Patient Health Check you will also be removed from our Practice List.

We ask that you turn up on time for your appointment. If you are late, we will allow up to 15 minutes for you to arrive. You will then be seen in time order, so, if a patient is already here and on time, they would be seen before a patient turning up late. If you arrive 15 minutes after your appointment time, you will be offered the next available slot, this may not be on the same day.
